US Navy chief visits Southern Naval Command

Admiral Gary Roughhead, Chief of Naval Operations, United States Navy, visited Southern Naval Command, Kochi on April 14. The Admiral who is in India on an invitation from Admiral Nirmal Verma, Chief of the Naval Staff, arrived in  a special aircraft at Cochin International Airport. His itinerary at the Southern Naval Command included a meeting with Vice Admiral Krishnan Nair Sushil, Flag Officer Commanding in Chief Southern Naval Command, a briefing on the training activities of the Indian Navy and a visit to the Navigation and Direction School. Admiral Gary Roughhead departed Kochi in the afternoon.
