With India's Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) programme recording one of its worst years in 2011, these winged beauties might have decided to perform a 'protest flypast' over Bangalore's famous Jakkur Lake. Incidentally, this January 4 marked 11 years since the first flight of TD-1 in 2011. This photo was taken recently by Shri Ajay Ghatage, a senior journalist, who retired from The Times of India, Bangalore, as a Junior Assistant Editor. Ajay -- an avid shutterbug -- is related to HAL's ace former chief designer late Dr V M Ghatage.
